This new album of Instrumental Hip Hop / Electronics is what I think of as a “spiritual companion” to my first EP “Desh Pardesh”, that I released in 1999. That EP was “half glass empty” and this LP is “half glass full”. I don’t want to call it Trip Hop because that is just too downtempo for me…this album is uptempo hip hop beats, cut’n’paste vocal pastiche choruses, and some sweet 808 bass – it’s more for dancing and head nodding – rather than lamenting and melancholy.
